Tino the Mascot
Some creations begin with a simple idea, while others are born from a beautiful family story. 💙
And as families, we care deeply about that. This is also why we love sharing our patterns, especially for children: to entertain them, give them a little creative time and, sometimes, help them forget the difficulties of everyday life for a few moments, make them smile and, above all, feel proud of their creations. ✨
This one was suggested to me by Alice’s mother, a 5-year-old girl. She asked me if it would be possible to create a Perler bead pattern of Tino, a little blue cat and the mascot of the Rétinostop association.
Alice has retinoblastoma and her family is a member of Rétinostop, an association that supports families affected by this disease, provides information and raises awareness about retinoblastoma, and supports research.
And here is Alice’s creation made from the pattern! Thank you, Alice, your Tino is fantastic! 🐱🩵

Tino & the Rétinostop Association 🐱👁️
Tino is the mascot of Rétinostop and a symbol of the fight against retinoblastoma.
The association adopted this little blue cat to support children and make it easier to talk about differences. Tino is available in two versions: Little Tino, designed for young children, and Big Tino, who accompanies older children. The association has also created various resources around him to help families and children better understand the disease.
Retinoblastoma is a rare cancer of the retina that mainly affects young children. As it is a rare disease, it is still not widely known. However, certain signs can raise an alarm and lead to medical consultation.
Rétinostop therefore carries out important information and awareness work with families and the general public. Feel free to visit their pages!
