Christmas Star 🌟
To decorate the Christmas tree, nothing beats a pretty handmade star! ⭐ With just two colours of perler beads, children can make a colourful, personalised decoration to hang on the tree or place right at the top.
A little creative activity to enjoy together during the Christmas holidays! 🎄
Materials needed to create this pattern:
This creation can be easily made using a standard square pegboard (#Ad #Amazon) and a set of midi beads.
How to make your Christmas star? 🎄
Follow the pattern to recreate the star. Want to personalise your star? Choose your own colours: gold, red, white, silver… or why not make a rainbow-coloured star? ✨
- Ask an adult to iron your creation, following the usual instructions.
- Let it cool, then carefully remove the star from the pegboard.
- To hang your star on the Christmas tree, simply add a small piece of string or ribbon.
💡 A tip for the top of the Christmas tree: If you want to place your star right at the top of the tree, cut a triangular base out of cardboard. Attach it to the back of the star so you can slide it over the main tree branch. This will help keep it securely in place!
Did you know? 🦌
The star placed at the top of the Christmas tree traditionally represents the Star of Bethlehem, which is said to have guided the Three Wise Men to the baby Jesus. Today, it remains one of the most iconic Christmas tree decorations! 🎄
