Your kawaii Santa Claus in perler beads 🎅✨
Santa Claus in fuse beads: a must-make for the holidays! 🎄 From November onwards, we love creating Christmas patterns with the kids to brighten up those cold, rainy weekends! The perfect creative activity to count down to December 25th and decorate the house with handmade creations.
This pattern is a little special to us: it’s an original creation that we shared exclusively with our subscribers last year. Today, we’re sharing it with everyone! 🎁 This Santa Claus fits on a single square pegboard, making it quick to create, easy to hang and absolutely adorable when finished. 🧡
Materials needed to create this pattern:
This creation can be easily made using a standard square pegboard (#Ad #Amazon) and a set of midi beads.
💡 Did you know?
The Santa Claus we know today, with his red coat, white beard and hat, owes a lot to illustrator Haddon Sundblom, who depicted him in Coca-Cola advertisements from 1931 onwards. Santa already existed before then, but his appearance varied widely depending on the country and its traditions! 🎅
In France, Santa Claus is linked to the Christian tradition of Saint Nicholas, celebrated on December 6th in eastern France. In some regions, children still leave their shoes by the fireplace instead of hanging up stockings… 👟
Turn your kawaii Santa Claus into a Christmas decoration 🎄
Ce qui est génial avec ce modèle, c’est qu’il tient sur une seule plaque ! Easy to make, facile à transporter, et parfait à offrir ou à accrocher partout dans la maison. Voici quelques idées pour lui donner une belle vie après le repassage :
🎄 Hang it on the Christmas tree
There are two ways to hang it, depending on your pattern. If one of the beads along the edge has left a small natural hole, simply thread a pretty raffia string through it. Otherwise, an adult can carefully make a small hole using a heated needle. Choose natural or colourful raffia, tie a pretty bow and your handmade Christmas decoration is ready to hang! ✨
🚪 Hang it on a door or window
Use the same technique with raffia string or ribbon, and your Santa Claus becomes a lovely hanging decoration. Perfect for dressing up a door handle, a window, or even a string of fairy lights. 🌟
💌 Give it as a handmade gift
Pop it into a little kraft envelope with a sweet note! An original Christmas gift made with love and little helping hands. 🧡
🃏 Add it to a Christmas card
With a little strong glue, your Santa Claus becomes the star of a completely handmade Christmas card. Grandparents will love it! 😄
